Artist Talk: Claire Helen Ashley

Claire Helen Ashley is DCC’s first Artist in Residence. As AiR for DCC, Ashley has installed her inflatable sculptures across the grounds of PenArt is a joyful occupation of space and form. Scottish born, Chicago-based artist Claire Ashley mines the language of painterly abstraction, monumental sculpture, and slapstick humor to investigate inflatables as painting, sculpture, installation and performance costume.
